Man, I just got done setting up my outside stuff and it started raining. Sucks to be them, but they seem to be a bit more appreciative when soaking wet.

I have speakers set up in the bushes by the door as well as 100 feet down the driveway in the shrubs there.

I have an echo with pitch modulator on the microphone... after the kids get their candy and start skipping down the driveway they hear this gravely, booming, echoed voice....

Some of the kids laugh, some scream and run... some stop dead in their tracks, turn around, and look back up at the door... where I just smile and wave. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

For two of them, the voice said... "You forgot to say TRICK or TREAT......" Those kids said "S..s..ssoooorryy.... " and ran. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I also have this floating head with two claws that's got a motion sensor on it... when the kids walk close to it, the hands and head individually bob up and down, illuminated by blue led's and it Moooooaaaaaannnnnssss.......

Kids usually freak, parents laugh their asses off. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I went with my daughter (Dora the Explorer) up and down the block and this is the first year (at almost 3) where she grasped the fun of dressing up and getting candy. Most of our neighbourhood is fairly young so we get a lot of Fairies, Princesses and Spiderman's with a couple of Vader's thrown in. For the most part it's pretty tame and I'm glad she didn't run into anything that scared her too much.

One guy had all the lights off on his porch and was handing out candy in a werewolf costume... which was better than a lot of efforts I've seen done in some movies... maybe it was a little to dark for her to really see but when she came back she said, "He was a very spooky lion, Daddy". I'm waiting to see if I get woken up in the middle of the night.
